Founded in 2004, the Galilean School of Higher Education is an opportunity offered each year by the University of Padua to students enrolling in the first year of any bachelor’s, master’s degree or Doctoral program available at the University of Padova. Those who join the School will have the chance to deepen their studies in an environment characterized by lively intellectual exchange, immersed in an atmosphere where they can acquire high-level cultural knowledge and skills, ultimately receiving a special certification issued by the University of Padua.
In the internal courses organized by the School, which students must attend in addition to those required by their individual degree programs, the teacher-student relationship takes on a more personalized and intense nature due to the limited number of students.
Students of the Galilean School benefit from free board and lodging, reimbursements for the purchase of educational materials, and can attend seminars organized by the School or other University departments throughout the year.
Each student is also guaranteed the opportunity to learn two foreign languages, request reimbursement for language certification, and access a mobility bonus for study trips and research projects.
The educational activities for the students of the Galilean School take place at the “Casa dello Studente” residence within the “Cittadella dello Studente” complex, located at Via Venezia 20 (Padua).
Within the School, tutoring plays a fundamental role: the tutor is an essential figure as they become a significant point of reference for each student. Their continuous presence and constant interaction with students foster the development of a unique and special relationship that results in a mutually enriching intellectual exchange. Galilean Tutors assist students in their university life and facilitate, optimizing their attendance at courses to ensure successful exam outcomes, both internal and regular program exams.
